Not quite sure if this is in the right place, but here we go anyway! Please keep in mind that I haven't written any serious Harry Potter stuff since I was thirteen.
Information
Name: Bellatrix Lestrange (maiden name: Black)
Nickname: Bella
Age: 45
Appearance: Extremely gaunt, with traces of the great beauty she was before Azkaban. Long, straggly black hair, dark heavy-lidded eyes. Thin mouth, face skull-like. Usually grinning insanely.
Personality: Bellatrix is one of the most enthusiastic supporters of the Dark Lord (hence the username his.most.loyal). Her loyalty is so great, the Dark Lord entrusts her with one of his Horcruxes. She’s fiercely protective of her status as his most loyal servant, mistrusting anyone else she perceives to be held in higher confidence (Snape, for example.) She’s sadistic and loves causing others pain before killing them—as Dumbledore says, she likes to “play with her food before she eats it.” She may be married to Rodolphus Lestrange, but her heart and her love belong to the Dark Lord.
Hogwarts House/Year/Other Schooling: Bellatrix was in Slytherin from 1962-1969
Organization: Death Eater and proud of it
Occupation: Death Eater
Specialties: She’s described as a witch of “prodigious skill,” but her strongest and favorite spell is the Cruciatus Curse.
History: Bellatrix is the oldest of Druella Rosier’s and Cygnus Black’s three daughters (the other two being Narcissa and Andromeda). She joined the Death Eaters during her final year at Hogwarts, shortly before an arranged marriage to Rodolphus Lestrange and quickly rose up the ranks to become the Dark Lord’s second in command. Following his fall, she avoided imprisonment while desperately searching for some clue to his whereabouts. She, Rodolphus, his brother Rabastan, and Barty Crouch Jr. travelled to the Auror Frank Longbottom’s place of residence, hoping for a lead, and tortured him and his wife into insanity, a crime that resulted in all four being sent to Azkaban. Bellatrix was proud to be arrested in the name of her Dark Lord, proclaiming that he would rise again and they would break free.
She was proven right in 1995, a year after the Dark Lord’s resurrection, when he broke her, her husband, and her brother-in-law (Barty had since become the victim of the Dementor’s Kiss) out of prison. On his orders, the trio travelled to the Ministry of Magic with Lucius Malfoy and a band of other Death Eaters in pursuit of the prophecy their Lord had been trying to get. They dueled Harry Potter and his friends until they contacted the Order of the Phoenix, when she and her cousin Sirius Black met for the first time in fifteen years. She ultimately killed Sirius, but the mission was a failure. The prophecy was destroyed, and Bellatrix and Lucius, as the leaders of the mission, were disgraced. She is now desperate to return to her Master’s favor by any means necessary.
Roleplaying Example –
Barty’s hand trembled under his voluminous sleeve, wand shaking too hard even to cast the simple spell on the doorknob that would grant them entry. “Quickly!” hissed Bellatrix furiously, hovering over the youngest member of their group. Why bringing him along had been a good idea was beyond her—just another reason why she was plotting to murder her husband at the first opportunity to present itself. Barty whimpered in response, and Bella shoved him out of the way. “Bombarda!” she snarled, and the Longbottom’s door was swallowed in a magnificent explosion. The Auror’s wife screamed as the four Death Eaters made their entrance, wands drawn.
“Bellatrix Lestrange,” hissed Longbottom, eyes hard as he tore his wand from his pocket. The woman with the round face gathered up her baby and ran into a back room.
“No need to be so hostile, Frank,” Rabastan boomed pleasantly, though the wicked grin on his face was evident even with his mask. “All we want is information and we’ll be on our way.”
“All we want is information and we’ll be on our way!” Bellatrix cackled mockingly. “What he means is, tell us where the Dark Lord is or we’ll curse you, your wife, and your itty bitty baby boy into oblivion!”
“Never,” snarled Longbottom.
Bellatrix gave a heavy, mocking sigh, but her eyes were alight with excitement. Her tongue moistened her thin lips, preparing to form her very favorite word. “CRUCIO!” A rush of red light knocked Longbottom twitching onto his back, and his bloodcurdling screams rent the night, coupled with Bellatrix’s cackle. Exhilaration swept through her veins as she cast the spell again and again, sometimes joined by one of the others, sometimes interrupted with another demand to tell them where the Dark Lord had gone. Watching victims slowly break, hearing their pitiful cries for mercy… this was truly what life was all about.
